In 2019, Selvagem took place between 12 and 15 November at the Rio de Janeiro Botanical Garden Theatre.

During the cycle, the books Regenerants of Gaia cycle, by Fabio Scarano, Biosphere, de Vladimir Vernadsky, e Antes o mundo não existia, by Umusi Pãrõkumu and Tõrãmü Kehíri – books and authors that continue to accompany and support Selvagem’s activities.

The thematic axis was the living organism of which we are a part, called Gaia by some. We studied the subject using five approaches: the biosphere, metamorphosis, the sky, the Amazon and fragrant plants.

Visiting today, through the records and study materials, the discussions that permeated this cycle, gathered under the image of Gaia, is to realise some of the continuities that run through Selvagem. We are a cycle of studies on life that seeks to investigate this living organism, Gaia, from different angles, positions, senses - together with a whole network of cultures and thinkers, from this time and others, who set out to investigate the designs of the biosphere in its many layers.
