WHAT ARE WE?
We are part of the biosphere and we cultivate the understanding of life as a web of interconnections.
Selvagem is a non-governmental organization that involves a cycle of studies about life, the Indigenous Living Schools movement and a collaborative network oriented towards ways of knowing and translations between worlds.
Since 2018, we have dedicated ourselves to studying, sharing, recording and supporting Indigenous knowledge, creating dialogues between the sciences and the arts.
Everything Selvagem creates is made available free of charge.
The studies unfold in notebooks, audiovisual works, workshops, talks and exhibitions.
Our actions are aimed at supporting the Living Schools, Indigenous centres for the transmission of traditional knowledge, ensuring the transfer of 8,000 BRL (1,400 USD) a month to each school and creating joint actions. All this movement contributes to other paths of education, imagining regenerative and non-destructive ways of being in the world.
Selvagem also relies on books from Dantes Editora Publishing House to delve deeper into certain themes.
To make this possible, our collaborative network also includes a number of philanthropic supporters and institutional partners.
